KAZAKHSTAN
K A Z A K H S T A N
 Friends,
I am writing to you from the occupied country of Georgia that admits 10% of its adult population is addicted. Why such high rates of addiction? I have no doubt that the presence of Russian tanks and soldiers only 100kms from the capital Tbilisi where I am causes immense stress and is a major contributing factor. Today I met with Dr Gia Marmarikishvili, Director of Social Welfare and my good friend in Georgia. I told him that at the beginning of July the reconstruction work of our 1,500 sq m rehab with 50 beds for students and 30 for workers will begin and that we hope to be finished by Christmas. I asked him for help from his budget with the required US $280,000 and he replied that it was already spent. Surprise, surprise! He asked where we could find such a large amount of money to finish the centre. I told him that people from all over the world who love Jesus and respect the work of Teen Challenge want to help you in your time of great need. They will give the money! Of course, he was very glad!\
It is now three years since the first raid on Teen Challenge Kazakhstan by the Religion and Terrorism Police. In all we have had seven "inspections" by Kazakh security services at our centers and despite prosecutions by the State following those raids we have not been found guilty for that which we were falsely accused. However, the actions of the State security services caused the collapse of four rehab centers and one church. Furthermore, we received threats from local government to "seize" our property and in one location the authorities claimed one of our buildings and began to paint it! We were also denied registration of any new churches (for no apparent reason). All of this has caused Anna and I and our team great pain and financial expense. In spite of these difficulties we continue to work hard in Kazakhstan and we are "strengthening that which remains". We continue to the good fight and are trusting in the Lord with a thankful heart for what God has done the last 20 years. We also have great expectancy of what He will do if we will throw ourselves at the future. God is blessing our efforts in helping the poor and addicted and make disciples in Kazakhstan. We know that without your prayers we would never have come through this. Thank you, your treasure awaits you on the other side.
But as some ministries are closing we see God is not caught by surprise neither is he passive in regard to the poor and addicted.

New things are beginning!!!

Last year I heard Brian Houston preach "for every ending there is another beginning". He explained we must continue to move forward with God. Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega. New things are beginning!!!
Three weeks ago we hosted the President and Vice President of the World Deaf Ministry. We met with the government to get approval for the Worldwide Pentecostal Deaf Conference to be held in Almaty in 2012. This is an exciting opportunity! Though some things are finishing in Kazakhstan, the fruit of Kazakhstan is expanding and bearing fruit all over the place. This is fulfillment of the word God gave me in 1987. Last year I travelled to Siberia to speak at a rehab conference. The various Siberian rehab program directors claimed our own graduate, Misha, showed them "what they must do" to build these successful ministries. Last month I had the joy of travelling to Russia again and I can confirm that churches and Christian rehabs in Russia now experience much greater equality and freedom under the law than we do in Kazakhstan. The conference I spoke at was held by another of our Kazakhstan graduates from1997. He is director of a large rehab he began 10 years ago. He is also pastor of a church of 700 people. During this conference the head doctor from the city government came to congratulate and sincerely thank Sasha, our graduate, on the contribution of his rehab to the health and security of their region. Glory to Jesus! "Of the increase of his Kingdom there shall be no end". I have since been invited again in July to speak at the largest rehab conference in Russia with 3,000 delegates expected to attend. At the beginning of June I also met with Valodia, a TCK graduate from 2001. He is a Jew who now lives in Israel with his wife and family pastoring a church and running a rehab in Beersheba. Our God is an awesome God and He reigns in heaven and earth!!!
I could not have believed three years ago when our world was under attack that I would be in Georgia with six Kazakhs and two Aussies working on the new TC Georgia rehab centre. We are fasting and praying for the US$280,000 we need to complete the building!! We have one year to finish the project according to council approval and must pay the builder US$80,000 by first week of July.
So, this is a new beginning and although we face great challenges we are confident in God's calling to build this ministry. We have had many supernatural confirmations. The best is that we were able to purchase this beautiful property which has a replacement value of US$500,000, for $45,000! Last week we found out that the hill on which our building stands is called, Resurrection Hill!! God is surely with us. Failure is not a possibility, but death always is! Our two Aussies and six Kazakhs, including a ten month-old baby boy, are committed to living in the garage without water, electricity or sanitation (the present situation in our centre), if that is what it takes to do the job. We already have requests from Iran, Turkey and Azerbaijan, wanting to send people bound in drugs to us here in Tbilisi.
Anna and I are so proud of our Kazakh team and of you who partner with us in this new and exciting opportunity! The attachment gives photos and details. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Be Blessed,
Doug and Anna Boyle.
